Diet rich in Vitamins and Minerals

Vitamins A, C and E as well as minerals such as zinc contain antioxidants, which help extend retinal cell life. Consuming them helps in preventing the progression of many diseases that occur in the eyes. With the help of a good healthy diet, it helps to balance the number of glasses, as well as it can also prevent cataracts from coming for some time. Foods that are beneficial for the eyes include many colorful vegetables and fruits, such as carrots, tomatoes, amla, citrus fruits, spinach, red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, sweet potatoes.

Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon and flaxseed are also recommended for eye health. Apart from this, some micronutrients such as lutein and exaxanthin which act as carotenoids in the retina are said to eat green leafy vegetables, broccoli, zucchini and eggs.

Pencil Pushups

This is a convergence exercise with a way to increase eyesight, which strengthens the muscles of the eyes. With the help of this exercise, any person can prevent presbyopia. Take a pencil and now hold it at arm’s distance from the eyes and focus on that mark. Repeat this cycle after two minutes.

Now slowly bring the tip of the pencil close to the face for three inches until the blur appears, bring it towards the nose and maintain the focus (Eye Exercises). Bring it closer until it is visible in two parts, and as soon as it is divided into two, remove it and leave the eyes open for a while and look around. After a while repeat it again 3 to 4 times. Eye Movement

Moving the eyes from side to side is also said to relax and improve the eyes. Sitting in a relaxed position, watch your eyes turn to the right at least six to eight feet away, keeping your gaze in that direction. Then do the same process by moving your eyes to the other side.
