The trailer of Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu’s film Rashmi Rocket has been released and this time the real story of her film begins after crossing the finishing line. The makers of the film released the trailer on Thursday and the story of the film looks really awesome. This film has been directed by Akarsh Khurana. Supriya Pathak, Priyanshu Painyuli and Abhishek Banerjee will also be seen in the film along with Taapsee.

The story of the film is based on a village girl who wants to represent India in the World Championship. Rashmi definitely becomes an inspiration for the people in her village but soon she realizes the exploitation of female athletes in the name of gender test under the age-old system of the country. However, when her body type does not fall under the traditional feminine cut, she is declared not a female and banned from playing. That’s where Rashmi’s fight against the Athletics Association begins to earn her respect and maintain her identity.

The best thing about the trailer is Taapsee’s acting and the way she portrays this character is really commendable. On the other hand, Priyanshu Penyuli is playing the role of an army man who is in love with Rashmi and Abhishek Banerjee will be seen in the role of a lawyer, who helps Rashmi in this battle.

Taapsee has described Rashmi Rocket as a special film. He said, “Often I have been approached for films when either the script is being written or the direct is ready to make a film, but I came to know about a line in this film in Chennai and after that I had never felt this kind of feeling before with any film till the time the story of the entire film was made. Everyone was sure about the story of this film from day one. I’m very proud of it.”

Director Akarsh Khurana said, “It is a film that reflects many aspects and especially our spirit. At the same time, it depicts some important issues and at the same time has been able to emotionally and keep the audience engaged and now I can’t wait any longer for its final outcome.
