Home Made Soap for Glowing Skin

Soap has been used in Indian homes for years. In the era of body wash and shower gel, there are still many people who use soap for bathing. It is impossible to remove soap from people’s lives. But do you know, these soaps available in the market are quite harsh on the skin. The chemicals used in making them cause a lot of damage to the skin. Due to which the skin becomes dry and hard. In such a situation, home made soap is the best. Yes, you can make soap at home with some of the methods mentioned here.

What do you need to make soap – Home Made Soap

  1. Soap base
  2. Color and fragrance stuff
  3. Walnut Shell Powder or Oatmeal Powder
  4. Soap mold

If you want a stronger exfoliating soap, use walnut shell powder. If you want a mild exfoliating soap, then use oatmeal powder or any type of clay – multani mitti, French clay, kaolin clay, etc. Walnut shell powder is brown while oatmeal powder is white in color so you can add few drops of brown color to it.

Method of making soap:

Melt the soap base and add exfoliants and color. Mix all the ingredients and then add the fragrance stuff to it. Vanilla and lavender or rose essential oils will give this soap a nice scent (if you want to use it). Once you have mixed everything well, pour the liquid soap base into the soap mold slowly. Let it set for an hour or two and let it settle. Your DIY Home made Soap is ready!

How to Make Moisturizing Soap

If your skin is dry and sensitive, then moisturizing soap will be better for you. To make it you need-

  1. Soap base
  2. Oil, Bees Wax or Aloe Vera Gel
  3. Fragrance, color and rose petals
  4. Soap mold

Method of making soap:

For each soap, take a teaspoon of any moisturizing ingredient. If you are using oil, use an oil like coconut, jojoba or olive oil. If you want something mildly moisturizing, aloe Vera gel is a good option. You can even add rose petals to give some beauty and pink or red color to the soap. Now add essential oils of rose, orange or jasmine to the soap mixture and pour it into your soap mold.
