What do you need to make soap – Home Made Soap

  1. Soap base
  2. Color and fragrance stuff
  3. Walnut Shell Powder or Oatmeal Powder
  4. Soap mold

If you want a stronger exfoliating soap, use walnut shell powder. If you want a mild exfoliating soap, then use oatmeal powder or any type of clay – multani mitti, French clay, kaolin clay, etc. Walnut shell powder is brown while oatmeal powder is white in color so you can add few drops of brown color to it.

Method of making soap:

Melt the soap base and add exfoliants and color. Mix all the ingredients and then add the fragrance stuff to it. Vanilla and lavender or rose essential oils will give this soap a nice scent (if you want to use it). Once you have mixed everything well, pour the liquid soap base into the soap mold slowly. Let it set for an hour or two and let it settle. Your DIY Home made Soap is ready!
