- 4 tsp whole coriander
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 4-5 dry red chilies
- 2 tsp urad dal
- 2 tsp chana dal
- 1 tsp black mustard
- 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
- Cinnamon (2 pieces)
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Black pepper (½ tsp)
- 4 large cardamom
- 10 cloves
To make sambar
- cup tur dal
- half teaspoon turmeric powder
- three cups of water
- Curry leaf
- two pinch asafetida
- three dry red chilies
- a finely chopped onion
- 3-4 garlic cloves finely chopped
- two green chilies
- chopped beans
- rye one teaspoon
- a sliced carrot
- 4 tbsp Gheya (Gourd)
- an eggplant
- two tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 3 tbsp tamarind pulp
- one tablespoon jaggery
- 2 tbsp sambar masala
- salt to taste

Step 8 – Now add turmeric, Kashmiri red chili powder, three tablespoons of tamarind water and jaggery and cook it. After that add boiled vegetables and fry them.
