He has avoided unnecessarily patriotic scenes and dialogues, but the film should have had scenes and dialogues showing the bravery of Prithviraj. He misses them while watching the film. It has been shown through dialogues that Prithviraj was a just emperor, who considered religion and nation paramount, respected women. It would have been better if some strong scenes were made to present these things.
The event of love between Prithviraj and Sanyogita also seems incomplete. It has been presented directly without setting the base, due to which the love of these two does not touch the hearts of the audience. The battle scenes do not leave a deep impression. Well, not much footage has been given to them, but the opportunity to show the bravery of Prithviraj was in these scenes.
There are some great scenes in the film which leave an impact on the audience. Apart from the opening and ending scenes, scenes like Prithviraj’s taking Sanyogita from the swayamvar, the tussle between Kaka and the companions, Prithviraj’s place in the court and Sanyogita answering the objection takers, are agitated while watching the film, but Such scenes are few in number.

As a writer, Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi could not give much information. The dialogues are strong in some of his scenes, but rarely reach the level of dialogue required for historical films.
Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi as director did not let the film go over the top, but he could not say much that he had to say. There is a lack of imagination in connecting the events. Without creating a role, he has presented the point directly, due to which the film does not hold onto the audience.
The lyrics have been penned by Varun Grover and the director has used them to take the story of the film forward. The music of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is excellent. The choreography of Vaibhavi Merchant is a sight to behold.

As much as there is discussion about the budget of the film, the grandeur is not seen in the film. The costume design is remarkable. The cinematography, background music and sets are excellent.
Akshay Kumar looks like a misfit. Manushi Chhillar did not get many views, but her confidence has been seen in the many she got. His dance in a song is also worth watching. Sanjay Dutt has got cheeky dialogues which makes his character feel good. Sonu Sood impresses. Ashutosh Rana, Manav Vij, Sakshi Tanwar have played their respective characters well.
The problem with Samrat Prithviraj is that he does not connect with the audience. Elements showing the valor of a great hero are less in the film.
