Ingredients for Making Matar Paneer
To make puree
– 1 big onion, chopped
– Half tsp ginger garlic paste
– 2 tomatoes cut into pieces
– 1 tsp salt
– 2 green chilies
To make Matar Paneer
– 2 tbsp oil
– 1 tsp cumin
– half tsp red chili
– 2 tsp coriander powder
– Half tsp turmeric powder
– 200 grams paneer, cut into pieces
– 1 cup water
– 1 tsp garam masala
– 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander

How to Make Matar Paneer Recipe
If you want to make delicious matar paneer like restaurant, then first you have to make gravy for this.
For this, put 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
Now add onion and fry it while stirring for 1-2 minutes. Cook the onion till it becomes slightly translucent.
Now add ginger garlic paste to it and cook for some time.
After this, add green chili, tomato and one teaspoon salt and cover the pan for 2-3 minutes. Switch off the flame and grind the onion-tomato mixture after it cools down.
And just your puree will be ready.

Now we will make matar paneer. For this, put 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and heat it on medium heat.
Add cumin seeds to it and temper it. After this, add red chili powder to the oil and immediately add the gravy. Doing this will give red color to your gravy.
After adding the puree, mix it well.
Now add coriander powder and turmeric to the puree and mix it well.
Cover it to mix the spices and let the gravy cook.
During this, keep stirring the matar paneer in between.
Remove the lid and let the gravy cook till it reduces to half and its color does not change. During this it is necessary to keep stirring the gravy. Also keep the flame on high.
When the gravy leaves the oil, add paneer and green peas and mix it well.
If you are using fresh peas, boil them first.
After paneer and green peas, add a cup of water to it and mix it well.
After cooking for 5 minutes, cover the pan.
Let the vegetable cook for 2 to 3 minutes more and after that remove the lid and add garam masala and coriander leaves and mix it.
Cook covered for 1 to 2 minutes and switch off the gas.
